Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey is a 2022 comedy entertainer by Vipin Das, starring Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran in lead roles.

This movie portrays a familiar plot, where a married woman faces issues at her husband’s home. There were many movies with a similar subject in the past. Each had a serious approach, and the women were stereotyped as weak and had to endure all verbal and physical abuse from their husbands. Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey is different, and the movie handled the topic in a fun way. Darshana Rajendran portrays the lead character Jaya, who is a strong character. Her reactions and performance make this film so beautiful. She is truly a great performer, capable of handling any role. Basil Joseph, an accomplished director, also proves himself a minimum-guaranteed actor in Malayalam. His script selection is exceptional, and all the recent movies like Jan E Man, Palthu Janwar, and now Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey were blockbusters. Rajesh is a different character for Basil. He portrayed it in a balanced way. The actress who portrayed Rajesh’s mother was excellent. All the star casts did their part well.
The movie is easily a well-made entertainer from Malayalam cinema. Another much-awaited fun entertainer. There had many clap-worthy scenes in theatres, and the whole theatre went crazy for a fight sequence. Another best part of the movie is not following the cliche ending.

Vipin Das gave one of the most successful Malayalam movies of the year with his debut movie. Comedies are hard to write, but he pulled did it with ease. The songs and scores by Ankit Menon were good. He is a promising Music Director. The music in this movie had that soul we saw in his previous film Gauthamante Radham. Technically, the movie came out well. However, the movie had an issue with color grading in some parts.

Jaya is an epic slipper shot to the people surrounding these women who have to go through a similar life. Take your family, especially your daughter, wife, and mother, to enjoy this stress buster in theatres. Justice, Equality, and Freedom are big things. Everyone should get them irrespective of gender, religion, and other aspects. One should react to toxicity, even if it’s your parents.
